I drive one hour to take my pets to Sheabels. The vets & techs are kind, patient and provide expert care. The groomer, Shonda is magical, I only trust her with my cat's grooming. Well worth the hour drive each way. Recommend!

Everyone was very friendly and I was seen right away. Dr Jude communicated clearly what was going on with my dog and we mapped a plan going forward. Could not have had a better experience. Really recommend this amazing team.

Dr. Brock and the rest of the staff are all amazing. I feel like they saved my dogs life and I’m very grateful and blessed I chose this place for my dog. I highly recommend this place. Even when I move back an hour away, I will still make the drive for them to take care of her if needed without a doubt!! Thank you all again!!

We love Sheabel! Dr. Brock is so thorough and kind, and the front office staff is also wonderful! When our dog is sick, they have always worked him in, and they’re wonderful with preventative care as well. I absolutely recommend them to anyone who asks.

Dr. Brock and Dr. Jude were amazing! They answered all of our questions, allowed us to txt them anytime, sent us pictures. They really turned a stressful situation a little more manageable! I loved how they showed us what the cost would be before hand and showed us the best case and worse case! It really helped us be prepared! Thank you for helping Roscoe!

I’ve wanted to leave a review for a bit but my experience this Saturday has me feeling like I need to. My pup has been going to daycare there for 6ish months. She adores it and and everyone is so kind. They also happen to be her vet and it’s nice to be able to have routine things done while she is in daycare. HOWEVER- this review is made possible by the extra kindness and urgency I was shown Saturday the 16. My cat hadn’t been taken to the vet in a few years because it stresses her out and she has an eye issue that no one’s ever been able to figure out and I got fearful she’d be taken from me. (Irrational anxiety, amirite?) However, when she started dragging her legs suddenly I panicked and called Sheabel. They got her in immediately and took such good care of her. When I was dropping my pup off for daycare Monday, the staff asked how my cat was. I am so thankful for how non judgmental and kind the staff at Sheabel is.

This review is months overdue, but I can't recommend Sheabel Veterinary Hospital enough. I'll try to keep this concise, but I want to explain how much this practice has meant to me. In July 2022, my 19-year-old cat, Callie, had significant health issues. She was having an arthritis episode in her lower back, along with severe dehydration due to her kidney disease. She was unable to walk and was in a lot of pain. I took her to our old vet just up the road, and they were pretty apathetic and unkind about our situation. Thankfully, we quickly got a second opinion at Sheabel. From the minute I met Dr. Jude, I was impressed. She was confident we could get my girl walking with some new pain meds and continual fluids for a few days. She even let me borrow equipment to take home so that Callie didn't have to be hospitalized overnight and let me use it for as long as we needed. She gave me her cell number and let me text her with a million questions. Within a week or two, my Callie girl could walk and try to play again. Over the next 4ish months, we had regular check-ins. We did cold laser therapy often (which worked wonders-- if anyone is wondering!), and the team was so quick to get us in when she had any sudden health issues. Big shout out to Amber for always kindly answering my often frantic 7 AM calls when the office opened. Unfortunately, at the end of October 2022, Callie had the same issues I initially brought her in for. Dr. Jude quickly got to work with fluids, ensuring she ate, and allowed me to visit her when she was hospitalized during the day / let me take home equipment again at night. She let us try a Solensia dose (please look into this drug if you have a kitty with arthritis!) to see if it would take. Callie regained some strength, but ultimately her quality of life was deteriorating, and I made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. Even until the end, the Sheabel team was so accommodating and gracious. Dr. Jude and her tech were able to make time for a house call for us to say goodbye during a busy surgery day. I'm so glad we could do it quietly at home with some of the most caring people on the planet. In short, Sheabel really is the best. The entire team is so compassionate and knowledgeable. They care for and interact with your pet like their own. I'm indebted to them for giving me months of extra time with my best friend that I had for most of my life. If I'm ever ready to bring another kitty into my life, I will be back! For now, I'll just tell everyone about how great they are.

Wiggins saw Dr Jude. She had an upset stomach and had been puking. I wanted to make sure she didn’t have an obstruction. Dr Jude and her staff are always amazing. I can’t say enough good things about them!!

Dr. Jude is wonderful! We have been taking our senior dog to Sheabel for about 10 years. Our senior loves everyone there and we always get the best care. They are so helpful in keeping him comfortable in his old age (he’s 13.5 years old). Our little rescue dog is quite scared of the vet (and many people in general) but he has become more comfortable as we have been bringing him. The techs and vets are so kind and give them lots of treats.

We will forever be grateful for Dr. Jude and the staff at Shaebel for the love, care and support of our amazing dog, Nola. In our house, we refer to Dr. Jude as Nola's guardian angel -- she helped with 2 mast cell cancer surgeries, countless routine visits, and at the end of her life, Dr. Jude was there. No stone was left unturned for our girl. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything anyone could do. Saying goodbye to Nola wasn't easy, but Dr. Jude and her team made it a peaceful experience for our family. From the bottom of our hearts -- thank you. Nola will always be with us and we will never forget her. She was so very loved. Thank you for being a part of her story.

Sheabel has been the only vet that we have used for our 4 year old puppers. The vets and support staff are incredible and we recommend to everyone we know. Shondra there is also our exclusive groomer and he loves to see her! 10/10

We experienced yet ANOTHER wonderful boarding experience with our two dogs. Dr Jude and her crew, especially Lexi, took fantastic care of our pooches Dalles and Judy, treating them as if they were theirs. Thank you!

Dr.Jude has been MORE than amazing to me and my fur baby, Crust. I would have been so stressed and clueless on how to take care of Crust if it wasn’t for her help, patience, and expertise. I will forever be grateful!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this veterinary practice. I recently brought my dog Alice in to have a large mass removed from her foot . Dr.Brock is such a wonderful doctor she stayed on the phone with me until after 10 o’clock at night because Alices foot was extremely swollen after surgery. Then they let me bring her in the next day and monitored her swelling - they also updated her bandage. If you are going around getting quotes for surgery and this quote is slightly more expensive just know you’re getting the absolute best care for your pet it’s worth every penny. Alice will never see another vet as long as we live in Lexington.

Phenomenal clinic! Dr. Mattingly and the staff at Sheabel are nothing short of amazing! They used a combination of therapies to get my dog walking again, performed urgent surgery on my sweet girl, aid her healing, answered my calls and texts on weekends when she didn’t have to, and took care of my dog like she was their own. I can’t recommend them enough!

Sheabel Veterinary Hospital, is the best! Dr. Estes, has treated our Dukie with IMHA disease for many years now and Dr. Brock helped us make the hardest but peaceful decision for our little girl that had a cancer diagnosis. Both Dr.'s are very caring and understanding. The whole staff in general, is really nice.

We were able to have our cat baby seen for an infection the same day we called. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The vet was so gentle with our scared boy and she won him over quickly. I found the care professional with empathy. My fur babies have a forever vet home now.
